About the Role

 

The ERP Application Support Consultant will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to UK clients in a rotating team. This position is UK-based and will involve a mix of on-site and remote work.

 

The successful candidate will join the Service Delivery Team, which is responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line functional and technical support to customers after go-live. The team's main focus is to maintain, support, and update the application, ensuring high customer satisfaction. This role will require the individual to work efficiently with both standard and custom changes, alongside Technical and Functional Support Consultants and Developers.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide timely resolution of incidents and bugs, including any necessary development, testing, and deployment, while keeping the customer updated on progress and ensuring prompt closure of the issue.

  • Conduct impact analyses for functional changes prioritised by the customer, evaluating factors such as time and cost (especially for RFCs). Align functional changes with the appropriate sprint backlog and implement them once approved by the customer.

  • Maintain a high standard of professional service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.

  • Collaborate on project and implementation activities to ensure the service is fully prepared for go-live.

  • Adhere to all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) established between the company and the customer.

  • Provide training, advice, and expert input to key users and colleagues as needed.

  • Participate in standby schedules outside of business hours to handle urgent incidents and ensure swift resolution.

  • Act as the communication bridge between the customer and the Operations team when addressing functional queries.

 

Qualifications

  • Passionate about understanding and optimising functional business processes.

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an Application Support role.

  • Essential: Strong knowledge of a business application (ERP); experience with MS Dynamics Axe or D365 is a plus.

  • Customer-centric mindset, proactive, and dedicated to delivering quality service.

  • Experience working directly with clients, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Fast learner with a desire to continuously grow and improve.

  • Results-driven and takes full ownership of responsibilities.

  • Collaborative team player with a flexible and adaptable mindset.

  • Fluent in English, with exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be willing to travel regularly to client sites in Reading.
