Role - Financial Accountant
Location - Oxford (Hybrid)
Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus
I am working with one of Oxfords established Bio-tech companies on the search for a Financial Accountant to support the preparation and review of group management accounts, statutory financial statements, and monthly reporting activities.
The ideal candidate will be Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA and come from an accountacy practise with strong knowledge of IFRS and technical reporting. This role would be suited to a first time mover looking for a step into industry.
Responsibilities -
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, including the posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and the completion of month-end close activities.
Ownership of Revenue accounting (IFRS 15), including application and knowledge transfer to wider team
Assessment and modelling of key contracts in line with IFRS 15, including new contract wins and contract modifications
Supporting the Lease accounting process (IFRS 16)
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and facilitate the audit process by preparing and providing required schedules and information.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal policies.
Requirements -
Newly Qualifed ACA/ACCA
Good understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP, with the ability to interpret and apply these standards in an industry setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong data manipulation and analysis skills.
Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.
Knowledge of consolidation and group reporting
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Team player who can collaborate effectively across functions while also working independently when needed.
