Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Financial Reporting Manager to join our high-growth organisation based in South East England, Berkshire, Reading. As the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our company. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of £70000 - £80000 per annum, along with bonus and benefits.

Job Duties

  • Manage a  small team of accountants, providing guidance, support, and mentoring
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS statutory accounting standards
  • Oversee group consolidations and ensure accuracy of financial data across the organisation
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion
  • Review and analyse financial reports, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to maintain compliance
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure adherence

Required Qualifications

  • ACA or ICAEW qualified
  • Background in top 10 audit firms
  • Extensive experience in IFRS statutory accounting
  • Proven expertise in group consolidations

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a managerial role.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent understanding of IFRS statutory accounting standards
  • Proficiency in group consolidations and financial data analysis
  • Ability to lead internal and external audit processes
  • Sound knowledge of financial controls and compliance
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
