Our client, a leading company in the Financial Trading industry, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Financial Reporting professional to join their growing finance team as a Financial Accountant/Finance Manager. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Marylebone, with a competitive salary range of £65k - £80k, depending on experience.
- Oversee the financial and regulatory reporting process, ensuring timely completion of the annual report and accounts.
- Manage and track progress for interim and year-end financial reporting timelines.
- Prepare and review technical accounting papers for external auditors.
- Contribute to the production of the Group's strategic reports.
- Lead technical reporting issues and assess the impact of new accounting requirements on the company.
- Provide significant input in the production of ICARA and wind-down plan.
- Manage RegData reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulatory accounting requirements.
- Conduct investigations and support ad hoc project work as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end closing and financial analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation by designing and implementing new processes and internal controls to meet evolving business needs and reporting requirements.
Required Experience
- Qualified accounting qualification - ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial reporting environment, either in the accountancy profession or industry. Experience in financial services is preferred.
- Experience in producing statutory accounts (entity or consolidated) with knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS preferred.
- Understanding of regulatory reporting or tax computations is advantageous, but not required.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
