Join our clients Group finance team. This is a great opportunity to take responsibility and ownership for the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to ensure an effective control environment; providing key strategic information to the leadership to inform decision making and drive business performance.
Job Duties:
- Supervise management accounts, including revenue reconciliation, expense allocation, and month-end tasks
- Lead year-end balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company balances reconciliations
- Oversee bank accounts reconciliation checks and create schedules for reconciliations
- Manage payroll for operating companies and liaise with Tronc Master for correct allocations
- Support operational teams and approve costings for menu items
- Prepare budgets, monthly re-forecasting, and reports for investors and directors
- Ensure compliance with VAT returns, statutory requirements, and bank reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience in financial control or management accounting roles
- Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and compliance
Education:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a financial controller or similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the hospitality or retail industry
- Experience with payroll systems and operational support
Working Conditions:
This role is based in Soho, Greater London, and requires full-time hours. The Financial Controller will work closely with the finance team, reporting to the Finance Director and leading a team of 4. Occasional travel may be required for meetings or audits.
