Management Accountant - £40,000 - £45,000 - Leatherhead - ACCA/CIMA/ACA (Finalist Preferred) - Hybrid Working, Bonus, Study Support 

IN2 Consult are supporting an international industry leading client based in Leatherhead on their search for a Finalist-Level Management Accountant to join their finance team and support the Financial Controller as well as international stakeholders.

This Management Accountant role includes the following duties:

  • Conducting thorough intercompany reconciliations to ensure alignment and accuracy between various entities within the organization, thereby facilitating clear visibility into financial transactions and inter-entity relationships.
  • Performing payroll reconciliations to verify the accuracy of payroll data, ensuring that employee compensation aligns correctly with contractual agreements and organizational policies while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Compiling comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and meticulously preparing detailed month-end folder reports. This involves carefully reviewing and reconciling account balances, transactions, and other financial data to provide a clear snapshot of the company's financial position at the end of each reporting period.
  • Conducting insightful profit and loss (P&L) analysis to dissect financial performance, identify trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of various business strategies. This involves scrutinizing revenue streams, cost structures, and expenditure patterns to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Reviewing accruals and prepayments to ensure that expenses and revenues are accurately recorded in the appropriate accounting periods. This involves assessing the validity and timing of accruals and prepayments, verifying supporting documentation, and making necessary adjustments to reflect the true financial position of the company.
  • Managing revenue reconciliations to reconcile differences between reported revenue figures and actual receipts, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. This involves analyzing sales transactions, identifying discrepancies, and resolving any inconsistencies to maintain the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
  • Handling VAT returns for the specified region, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and guidelines. This involves accurately calculating VAT liabilities, preparing VAT returns in a timely manner, and submitting them to tax authorities, thereby fulfilling legal obligations and minimizing the risk of penalties or fines.

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant role will have the following experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part-Qualified (Finalist Preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Proven experience in producing management accounts in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Experience working towards tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment
