Assistant Management Accountant | Leeds | £28,000 - £30,000 + Study Support | Technology 

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the senior management accountant in ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations of the organization. You will be responsible for managing and processing financial data, providing timely and accurate reports to support the decision-making process, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Analyze financial information to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, including the preparation of budgets, variance analysis, and the review of financial projections
  • Help to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures, such as reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with audits
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support decision-making processes
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models and business plans to support strategic decision-making
  • Provide support to the senior management accountant as needed


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA is preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
