Financial Controller - Scale Up - Financial Services - City of London - £80,000-£90,000 +Bonus +Equity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing Digital Financial Services scale up business, where you can lead and control the organisations financial processes and procedures, helping advise and guide them on the best ways and methods to help them continue on their future growth trajectory.
Role:
You'll be immersed in the world of the finance team, supporting the CFO in providing comprehensive reporting, analysis and insight to support day-to-day operations for all the business, as well as overseeing the Management and Financial Reporting & Transactional team.
The role will have a big focus on management information, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative insight, as well as covering ad hoc projects when needed.
Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of the Management Information reporting pack and the process.
Develop Financial reporting across the business, ensuring effective, timely and accurate.
Manage the annual Budget/3 Year Plan and periodic reforecasting process, ensuring the required information is received in a timely manner from the relevant business stakeholders giving the necessary financial support/challenge.
Leadership of the finance team (3 heads), ensuring each team member is developing and is stretched to meet full potential.
Responsible for improving, establishing and enforcing controls, processes and systems across the business.
Full ownership of monthly management accounts and Board pack, including the review and approval of accounts receivable/payable, payroll, capitalisation, PSA etc.
Review and monitor the Business cash flow on a regular basis, ensuring effective management of working capital.
Submission and review of Investor reporting.
Submission of all statutory reporting and point of contact for year-end Audit / Tax compliance.
Deliver ad-hoc information at short notice, anticipating information requirements and delivering the information to a high standard
Successful candidate:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW equivalent qualification
Strong technical accounting background, with prior experience of leading a team
Experience within a similar position
Experience with Xero software
Excellent stakeholder management, confident in communicating and challenging at all levels
Awesome know-how in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, so you can present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets
Show potential and desire to build up a Finance team as the company scales up
