IN2 Consult - Group Financial Controller - Hemel Hempstead - £80,000 to £100,000 plus 30% bonus - 2 days a week office based - Full-time, Permanent - Overall responsibility for the finance function, 5 direct reports, process improvement and implementing internal controls.
IN2 Consult is currently supporting a high-growth, PLC listed business looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller reporting directly into the CFO. This position will be responsible for the day to day management of 5 finance professionals, responsible for the overall running of the finance function and for identifying and improving finance processes.
Key Duties involved in this Group Financial Controller position:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for the Financial management team and board level, including oversight of ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments and variance analysis
- Responsibility for identifying process improvement, process automation or identifying finance controls that need updating. Going through the full implementation process from start to finish.
- Responsibility for group level consolidations on a monthly/ quarterly and annual basis.
- Work with commercial business teams in preparation of quarterly reforecasts
- Work with commercial business teams preparation of annual budget and three year plan
- Work with UK auditors to deliver timely resolution of queries and a smooth audit process
- Day to day management of your finance team, responsible for recruitment, overall day to day task planning and monthly 1 to 1 performance reviews.
Key experience required for this Financial Controller position:
- Qualified ACA/ ACCA or CIMA finance professional
- 1-5 years PQE
- Background experience from an Audit/ Chartered Accountants - Highly Advantageous
- Experience within a Group Financial Controller/ Head of Finance position
- Experience managing a finance team
- Experience working in a PLC or AIM listed business - Highly advantageous
- Experience working within a high-growth business - Highly Advantageous
