Job Duties:
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for processing and recording invoices, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, reconciling statements, and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner. They will also communicate with suppliers to resolve billing issues and ensure payments are processed correctly.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
- Previous experience in a similar role within an accounting environment
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Education:
A qualification in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not essential.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- AAT qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with ERP systems
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary position based in Bury, North West England. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will work standard hours per week. The role may require occasional overtime during peak periods.
