Senior Safeguarding & Reconciliations Analyst

Contract: 6 months
Rate: £250–£300 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Location: London / Hybrid (where applicable)

In2 Consult is partnering with a fast-growing, global  organisation to recruit an experienced Reconciliations Analyst on a 6-month contract.

This role sits within a high-performing Finance/Treasury function and is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented analyst who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments. You will play a key role in safeguarding reconciliations, process improvement, and automation initiatives while supporting regulatory compliance across multiple legal entities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and enhance safeguarding reconciliations across multiple legal entities in line with regulatory requirements

  • Improve reconciliation processes, controls, and scalability

  • Support automation initiatives and new product implementations alongside cross-functional teams

  • Act as a subject matter expert in safeguarding, reconciliations, systems, and payment flows

  • Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement preventative solutions

  • Support audits (internal and external) and regulatory requests

  • Produce and maintain critical metrics, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis

  • Assist with training junior team members and updating process documentation

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently


Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in a numerical subject or 2+ years’ experience in reconciliations within a high-volume transaction environment

  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas; Power Query or VBA highly desirable)

  • Proven ability to work accurately with large datasets and tight deadlines

  • Experience improving or automating manual finance processes

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with end-to-end ownership

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

  • Comfortable working independently in a changing, fast-paced environment

  • Basic understanding of safeguarding, customer asset protection, or custodianship


Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as CASS, EMI/PI, or banking regulations

  • Experience within fintech, payments, or regulated financial services environments

  •
