Top 10 UK Firm
Are you a tax professional looking to step into a high-growth, specialist area with clear progression to Manager and beyond?
Our client, a leading Top 10 UK accountancy firm, is expanding its highly regarded Funds Tax team and is seeking an ambitious Assistant Manager to join their London office.
Why This Role?
The Funds Tax team works with a diverse portfolio of:
- Private equity and venture capital funds
- Alternative investment vehicles
- Investment managers and fund executives
The team acts as a trusted adviser across the full fund lifecycle — from formation and structuring through to ongoing reporting, advisory work and exit events. You’ll gain exposure to partnership tax, corporate tax, and personal tax matters within complex fund structures, working alongside specialists across international tax, VAT, transfer pricing and transaction services.
This is a standout opportunity for someone looking to build specialist expertise in the asset management sector — prior fund tax experience is not required.
The Role
As an Manager, you will:
- Manage the tax reporting process for a portfolio of UK and offshore funds and related entities
- Support advisory projects including structuring, carried interest, investor reporting and fund lifecycle matters
- Apply your core tax technical knowledge to complex fund and investment structures
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
- Review and supervise junior team members’ work
- Support senior stakeholders on technical advisory engagements
- Contribute to proposals and business development initiatives
You’ll gain early responsibility, meaningful client exposure and the opportunity to develop into a sector specialist.

- Strong tax technical grounding (corporate, partnership, private client or mixed background)
- Experience managing client relationships and deadlines
- An interest in alternative investments and fund structures
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience reviewing or mentoring junior staff
Curiosity, commercial awareness and ambition are key. Technical training in fund tax will be provided.
