IN2Consult are working with a prestigious residential property company based in the Battersea area who are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join their team. Please see below the responsibilities -
Responsibilities
- Agreeing the system to the final accounts and carry out close off year end routine.
- Management of the audit process in line with legislations and deadlines.
- Preparation of annual Service Charge accounts for audit including collation of all reports and supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly Ground Rent statements within the agree time frame.
- Prepare quarterly VAT reports for clients.
- Dealing with lessees and client queries.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly variance reports to clients.
- Assist property managers on accounting matters.
- Issue service charge budgets/demands.
- Liaise with other managing agents on handover and take over management of properties.
- Ensuring that the Statutory accounts and taxation affairs are filed on time.
- Occasional availability to attend on site or client meetings - including budget or accounts presentation.
- Issuing S20b Notice when required.
- Assist with bank reconciliations when required.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as may be required.
Skills required
- Background in residential property & block management
- Excellent level of communication
- Part qualified or higher
- Knowledge of a property management finance system
