Job Title: Credit Controller Manager (Permanent)

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
I am currently partnered with a leading manufacturer located in Slough. They're looking to expand their finance team with a detail-oriented Credit Controller Supervisor to support their ongoing business growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead a team. This role is critical to maintaining our financial health and ensuring timely payments from our clients. Play a critical role in managing the company's credit risk, optimising cash flow, and ensuring timely collection of payments to support the company's financial objectives and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the credit control team to ensure efficient and effective collection processes.

Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to minimise bad debt.

Monitor and manage the company’s accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.

Assess creditworthiness of potential clients and set appropriate credit limits.

Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and provide insights to senior management.

Handle escalated issues and disputes with clients in a professional manner.

Train, mentor, and support team members to enhance their performance and professional growth.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall financial management.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge of UK credit laws and regulations is highly desirable.
