Salary: £38,000 - £45,000

I am currently partnered with a leading manufacturer located in Slough. They're looking to expand their finance team with a detail-oriented Credit Controller Supervisor to support their ongoing business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead a team. This role is critical to maintaining our financial health and ensuring timely payments from our clients. Play a critical role in managing the company's credit risk, optimising cash flow, and ensuring timely collection of payments to support the company's financial objectives and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the credit control team to ensure efficient and effective collection processes.

  • Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to minimise bad debt.

  • Monitor and manage the company’s accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.

  • Assess creditworthiness of potential clients and set appropriate credit limits.

  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and provide insights to senior management.

  • Handle escalated issues and disputes with clients in a professional manner.

  • Train, mentor, and support team members to enhance their performance and professional growth.

  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall financial management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of UK credit laws and regulations is highly desirable.
