Interim Finance Integration Project Accountant- £500-£600 Per Day- 6 Month Interim Contract- Berkshire (Hybrid)
About the Role
IN2 Consult is supporting a market leading client on the recruitment of an Interim Finance Integration Accountant to play a pivotal role in bringing a newly acquired entity into their group structure.
This position requires a balance of technical accounting expertise, process improvement skills, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the integration is delivered smoothly and on time. The role is ideal for a finance professional with prior M&A integration experience who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration & Technical Accounting

Take ownership of the finance aspects of the integration project, aligning the acquired entity’s policies and reporting with group standards.

Prepare and reconcile opening balance sheets, assisting with purchase price allocation and related adjustments.

Consolidate the acquired entity into group accounts under IFRS standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Support audit and statutory requirements, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
Systems & Process Alignment

Oversee data migration, reconciliations, and system onboarding for the new entity.

Develop, document, and embed financial processes and controls to strengthen compliance and efficiency.

Work closely with finance systems teams to ensure seamless integration into core ERP and reporting platforms.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the finance point of contact between Group, local entity teams, and external advisors.

Provide regular progress updates and insights to senior management.

Build strong relationships across departments to support knowledge transfer and post-integration success.
Transition to BAU

Ensure smooth handover of ongoing finance responsibilities to local teams or Shared Services.

Deliver training, guidance, and process documentation to embed new ways of working.

Identify opportunities for process improvements beyond integration, driving long-term efficiency.
Key Requirements:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

Significant post-qualification experience, ideally within a multinational or group finance function.

Track record of working on finance integration projects, M&A transactions, or finance transformations.

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP

Excellent communicator with proven stakeholder management experience across different levels of seniority.

Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, project-led environment.
