Senior Commercial Finance Analyst- £55,000-£60,000 + Benefits- Basingstoke (2 Days P/W in the office)- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Fully Qualified

IN2 Consult has been engaged by a market leading client in Basingstoke on the recruitment of a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join their growing accounting

and finance function. The key purpose of the role is to business partner with key stakeholders to provide insight from complex financial analysis and helping aid 

key decision making as well as budgeting, forecasting and management accounting. 

Key Responsibilities of this Senior Commercial Finance Analyst include:

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive internal financial management accounts to senior management teams, providing clear insights into business performance to support strategic decision-making.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and provide detailed commentary on monthly performance variances against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities, and assisting the business with reforecasting as necessary.

  • Integrate operational and financial data, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the prime book of accounts and reflecting all business activities. Regularly review and refine systems and processes to ensure they remain efficient and effective.

  • Deliver detailed analysis of actual financial performance, ensuring accuracy in accounting, providing a thorough understanding of variances, and offering actionable recommendations for senior management.

  • Take ownership of the budget and forecasting processes, providing support to budget holders, knowing when to guide, instruct, and challenge assumptions to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Provide assistance to Finance Managers in ensuring month-end ledger control and balance sheet reconciliation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Act as a key business partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial insights and analysis to aid in decision-making, and ensuring that financial goals are aligned with business strategies.

  • Collaborate with department heads and other key stakeholders to support strategic planning, business development, and resource allocation, driving business performance through effective financial management.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand operational drivers and help translate these into financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.

  • Support the development and review of financial models and scenarios, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions on capital investment, cost-saving initiatives, and growth opportunities.

  • Assist in driving continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, working with stakeholders to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy.

  • Provide training and support to non-financial managers to increase financial literacy across the organisation, enabling them to make more informed decisions.

  • Ensure that financial control frameworks are maintained across all areas of the business, providing guidance and oversight to departments as required.

  • Foster strong relationships with both finance and non-finance teams, promoting collaborative working to achieve business goals.

The Desired Candidate for this Senior Commercial Finance Analyst role should have the following experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Fully Qualified
  • Strong experience in business partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to provide financial insight and help aid key decision making
  • Experience in analysing large, complex datasets
  • Hands on budgeting and Forecasting experience 
  • Strong Excel Skills
