Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager- £90,000-£110,000 + Bonus & Benefits- London (Hybrid) - Multinational PLC
We are seeking an experienced Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager to lead technical accounting and group consolidation activities across the EMEA region for a fast-paced, US-listed multinational.
This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IFRS reporting, consolidation of multiple EMEA entities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to the US Group in compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
The ideal candidate will be ACA-qualified from a Big 4 background, with extensive post-practice industry experience gained in large, complex multinational environments (preferably within a NASDAQ or NYSE-listed PLC).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial statements for the EMEA region under IFRS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with both internal and external reporting requirements.
- Act as the regional technical accounting lead, providing guidance on complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, and business combinations.
- Oversee group-level consolidation processes across multiple EMEA entities, ensuring alignment with US Group requirements under US GAAP.
- Support the global finance function in embedding and maintaining SOX controls, ensuring effective compliance and governance.
- Partner with local and regional finance teams to resolve technical accounting queries, standardise reporting processes, and drive best practices.
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely delivery of audit schedules and resolution of technical matters.
- Provide accounting input into regional projects, including system upgrades, business integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for the US head office, preparing technical papers and supporting group-level disclosures.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, building technical expertise across the wider finance function.
Process improvement & controls focus:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and consolidation processes to increase efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of reporting.
- Implement stronger internal controls and governance frameworks across EMEA, ensuring compliance with group policies and external regulations.
- Develop and enhance standardised reporting templates and processes across EMEA entities, ensuring consistency and comparability of information.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and consolidation workflows, working with systems teams to embed technology solutions.
- Regularly assess risks and control gaps within the reporting cycle, implementing solutions to strengthen control effectiveness.
- Champion a culture of continuous change within finance, embedding best practice reporting standards and promoting operational excellence across the region.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- ACA qualified (Big 4 trained) with a strong technical accounting background.
- Extensive post-practice industry experience within a large, complex multinational environment.
- Proven experience working in a US-listed PLC (NASDAQ, NYSE, or similar).
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, with practical exposure to US GAAP and SOX frameworks.
- Demonstrated track record of overseeing multi-entity consolidations across the EMEA region.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across regions and senior leadership teams.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.
Desirable:
- Experience of system implementation or financial transformation projects.
- Exposure to other global regions beyond EMEA.
- Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
